Configuring Out-of-Network Test Services

Configuring Out-of-Network Test Services

In Veriport, providers (CSPs) can offer a customized list of test services for out-of-network requests. These services are configured in the Settings > Network Testing Services section and later priced individually at the collection site level. This setup allows you to clearly define the services your organization performs using your own lab, MRO, and devices.

Service Categories

You will configure two types of services:

  • Out-of-Network Lab Test Services
  • Out-of-Network Other Test Services

1. Setting Up Out-of-Network Lab Test Services

Use this section to define drug or alcohol tests that are sent to your laboratory for analysis. For each service you offer:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Network Testing Services.
  2. Under Out-of-Network Lab Test Services, click Add Service.
  3. Complete the following fields:
    • Name: The name of the service as you want it displayed in the network
    • Laboratory: The lab that performs the analysis
    • Lab Panel Code: The corresponding code used by your lab for this test panel
  4. Save the service. Repeat for each lab test you offer.

2. Setting Up Out-of-Network Other Test Services

This section is for tests conducted on-site using instant or specialized testing devices, such as POCT or EBTs. To configure these:

  1. Under Out-of-Network Other Test Services, click Add Service.
  2. Enter the following:
    • Name: How the service will appear in the network
    • Custom Test: The type of test (e.g., POCT drug test, breath alcohol test)
    • Testing Device: The specific equipment used (e.g., 12-panel drug cup, Alcovisor Mercury EBT)
  3. Save the service. Repeat for each custom test you provide.

Next Step: Set Per-Site Pricing

Once all Out-of-Network services are configured in your settings, you will assign prices to each service per collection site. This is done in the site profile and will be covered in a separate article.

Best Practices

  • Use clear, requester-friendly names for your services
  • Ensure consistency between your test catalog and what's configured in Veriport
  • Review your services regularly to add, remove, or update offerings as needed

By correctly setting up your Out-of-Network Test Services, you streamline pricing, improve request accuracy, and present a professional offering to requesters within the Veriport Network.
