How to Cancel a Test Request
In Veriport, both requesters (TPAs) and providers (CSPs) have the ability to initiate a cancellation for a test request that is no longer needed or cannot be fulfilled. Cancellations are a two-step process that ensures both parties agree before the request is closed.
When to Cancel a Request
You may need to cancel a test request if:
- The test is no longer required
- There was an error in the original request
- The provider cannot fulfill the request
- The requester chooses a different provider or date
How to Cancel a Request
- Navigate to the appropriate tab (e.g., Service Requests, Requests Made, or Requests Received depending on your role).
- Find the request you want to cancel.
- Click the “Cancel Request” button or option in the action menu for that request.
- Enter a required reason for the cancellation in the prompted field.
- Submit the cancellation request for the other party to review.
What Happens Next
- The other party will be notified and must approve the cancellation for it to take effect.
- The request remains open and pending cancellation until it is accepted or declined.
- Once approved, the request is marked as Cancelled and is no longer active.
Important Notes
- Both parties must agree to cancel—requests cannot be unilaterally closed.
- All cancellation activity is logged in the request history for transparency.
- If urgent, consider messaging the other party using the Comments column to expedite a response.
Using the cancellation process helps keep your workflow clean and ensures accurate test records for compliance and reporting.
