Requesting a New Date and Time for a Service

Requesting a New Date and Time for a Service

As a provider (CSP), you may occasionally receive a service request with a date or time that doesn’t fit your availability. In these cases, Veriport allows you to propose an alternative date and/or time before accepting the request. This keeps scheduling flexible while maintaining clear communication with the requester (TPA).

When to Use This Option

Request a new service date when:

  • You are unavailable at the originally requested time
  • Staffing, site hours, or equipment availability conflict with the request
  • You want to consolidate scheduling for efficiency

How to Propose a New Date and Time

  1. Navigate to your Inbound – Service Requests Received tab (In-Network or Out-of-Network).
  2. Locate the test request that has a scheduling conflict.
  3. Click on the request to view the available actions.
  4. Select “Change Service Date” from the action menu.
  5. Enter your proposed new date and/or time in the required fields.
  6. Include a brief note to explain the change, especially if it differs significantly from the original request.
  7. Click Submit to send the proposed change to the requester.

What Happens Next

  • The requester will be notified of your proposed change.
  • They can accept, decline, or respond with an alternative date.
  • The request will remain in a pending state until both parties agree on the updated schedule.

Best Practices

  • Propose alternative dates as soon as possible to avoid delays
  • Be clear and professional in your comments to promote quick approval
  • Monitor the request status for updates or responses from the requester

Using the “Change Service Date” feature allows you to maintain scheduling flexibility while keeping the request active and collaborative.
